Yamoto 150 gonna buy

I'm gonna buy a 150 c.c. tomorrow and have a few questions. The guy I'm getting it from says it was running one day and then never started again. I've worked on Atvs for a long time but what would be some things to check for? I've never worked on a China bike before. Is it a good buy for $100? Its been sitting for 3yrs but still looks new.

Welcome!

The short answer is yes, $100 is likely a good buy, if everything is there. The truth is that the no-start condition could be as simple as not using the kill switch properly. Not joking. Once you show us a pic of the kill switch, I'll confirm if that's a possible cause.

I'm the original moron who didn't know how to use that type of switch. I pulled the stator out, trying to troubleshoot it on a new atv. The irony is that the switch was originally designed as a turn signal switch that I'm familiar with.

To kill the engine, slide the switch either to the right or left. To start it again, you must first press the switch in once, and then you hit the starter. If you fail to press the switch in, the engine will crank with no spark until the battery is dead.
