Mine would be in the airbox behind the left sidecover. Follow the tube connected to the carbureter.

air filter

i have the same bike as you, your air filter ,is under the seat in front of battery, you must take the black lid off ,by removing 3 small screws.and oil it ,and grease were it goes against the inside of airbox ,cause it is of very poor quality, and don't ride heavy dust till you can replace it with something better. I am currently making a new one that fits better and has the end closed off now.

Hey man thanks for the info. That filter is pretty shady. Let me know what you do to upgrade it. I'm new to the dirt world so any info regarding this bike would help.

Yeah, these chinese air filters are very poor quality... I think they just took the old concept of stretching panty hose over the end of the carb and went from there.... hmmm, maybe I'll ad some panty hose to my airbox as a little extra protection.

Alot of owners here have gone to a K&N or UNI filter and scrapped the air box altogether, depends on the riding that you do...

If ya'll could give me some pointers on how to create a better air filter I would be very happy. I'm riding here in el paso and it seems all I can find is sand and more sand. I've checked my filter every ride and it doesn't seem to be getting real dirty so I hope it will hold up for a while.

What part number K&N's are guys using? is there one small enuff to keep the air boc or modifythe air box to fit?

I have a Giovanni 250 and the battery/solenoid/regulator takes up alot of the air box.

I was considering building a new air box out of lexan to get more room for a better air filter. Any thoughts? What are you doing?

The part number for the K&N pod filters is in the DS forum in the cross-reference parts thread. Now the 250 may have a bigger carb.

Measure the throat of the carb. It will give you a good idea what you need.

I checked the cross ref thread, It does not have a K&N part number,
This site might help with getting the right number

http://www.knfilters.com/search/appsearch.aspx

Tnis is the search part of the site, You can also look for filters by size in the universal section.
