They could look at it as developing a following..But as riders grow and want more speed..They are going to need bigger bikes to keep the customer..Or like myself when I want to step up..Will buy from the big four. Or perhaps a Hyosung......Keep after em guys ..Maybe they will get it one day.

Well guys all I can say is that Brian is correct, I do have information on larger Cc bikes in the works and coming out soon. But I have sworn not to tell about certain ones. (1) Newly Styled 250cc street cruiser. (1) New 400cc Street cruiser, (1) New 200cc?? Sportbike. (2) New quads, already out this year. (1) New 150cc Classic styled scooter, already out this year.
The guys running American Lifan in Texas are smarter than you think.

They have 4 scooters, 1 new one this year, total (5). 4 Dualsport/Enduro's, 1 Sportbike & 1 New Sportbike, total (2). 1 Street bike & 1 New street bike, total (2), (7 dirt bikes), 5 quads, 2 new this year, total (7). This is a total of 27 vehicles, {(2) will be discontinued} they will be selling before the end of this year. American Lifan has almost 95% parts in stock for every vehicle that they sell or have sold.

They are basically doing the same thing that Honda did from 59-64. Honda had a 50cc bike from 59-64 in a couple different versions. They came out with 13 new bikes for 1965 to be brought into the USA and just expanded slowly after this, making new models and changing old models. This way it is easier to keep up with parts and the growing pains of a business.

Most of the other companies that sell quads & bikes have better than 10-30 models of each vehicle that they sell, and people wonder why they don't have many or any parts in stock. They have imported too may vehicles to stock parts for all of them.

Thanks for more good info....Leaking something like that perks interest. I am curious to see what they have in mind now.

Oh believe me nothing leaked out except what I can tell right now.

The 250 cruiser has been re-styled, so the old style is being discontinued. There is a new 400 cruiser coming out in about a month or so. There is a new 150 classic scooter, 150 quad and a 250 quad already out. There is a new styled sportbike (200cc???) maybe, maybe not??? The old sportbike may be discontinued. The LF200GY-2 is being discontinued, is there something to replace it?.....I'm not telling! Maybe, maybe not! 8O

LF-400

LF-250

LF-200

EDIT:
This is from Lifan's corperate site.
http://www.lifan.com/en/product.asp?id=854
No new Enduro's are showing, but they do have a LF200-gy6 listed, but the pic is of a 150 gy6.
The LF400 is a really nice looking bike, but it's only rated at 20kw.

I hear the gy-2 being replaced with the gy-6. Nicer looking ride but very similar mechanicals.

So is the 250 and 400 water cooled? Looks like it from the cylinders. Maybe it's just the photo quality, I don't see a radiator.

The 250 in the pic with the radiator is not being imported. The 250 & 400 are air cooled.
The Lifan web link that was posted is for China only.
The GY-6 is not coming into this country by American Lifan.
This is the web link for American Lifan... http://www.americanlifan.com/lifan2/

I never thought the Chinese would endeavor to rip off a BMW, but that is a nice attempt at reproducing the F650 City model. Does it really have the fuel under the seat like on the beemer?
