Wow! Thanks for sharing the photographs, OG!

A contemporary, Chinese, dual sport bike with a 200cc engine is probably more capable than the Honda 250 Dream which Duane rode in 1965. Our little Chinese motorcycles are capable of much more than many people imagine.

Wow I love those vintage images! Of course I am very biased towards antique Honda Twins 8) .

CB's are very capable bikes! It's a matter of proper setup, maintenence, and expectations. They can get you pretty much anywhere, just don't be rushed.

I put my cb200 through more offroad abuse than my lifan ever saw. I had a trials tire on the rear.

Panama to MN is just a hop, skip, and a jump.

I have been reading about the new Bajaj 200NS for months and knew I'd end up with one, I bought one in Quito, Ecuador and haven't seen it yet, my buddy and riding partner Ron made the deal for me and is storing it at his condo in Quito until I can get back up there. As I mentioned in a another post, it's a water-cooled, 200cc, three spark, my amigo liked it enough to buy one for himself. Here are Ron's photos!

What a cool machine! 8) Is it equipped with KTM-cloned parts?

Kato, yes three spark http://mypulsar.com/pulsar-200ns/technology.html overkill maybe, really don't know.
Weld, Bajaj builds the KTM Duke under license from KTM, they are very similar.
Spud, thanks.
Completely off subject, but here is a great story http://www.peruthisweek.com/news-383...cal-emergency/

I can see the technology for the three spark. Maybe it helps.

I finally made it back to Ecuador and have been breaking in the 200NS, the fit and finish is great and I was really surprised to find that all the switches were illuminated when I turned on the headlight, a nice touch. More importantly, it's a blast to ride.
In December I started construction on a new casa here in Ecuador, it should be finished next month, it's a duplex, my amigo Ron and his wife will be our neighbors, Ron is also building a shop, so we will have a place to work on the motos. The casa is in the Conocoto Valley in the Ecuadorian Andes, it's at 8700 feet and just a few minutes south of the equator, I'll have to put up with 12 hours of daylight and springlike temperatures all year around. Maybe not Shangri-La but close enough, regular gas is fixed at $1.48 a gallon, the US dollar is the official currency and the mandatory SOAT (liability insurance for the moto) cost $5.00 for a year. Here are a few photos of the Bajaj and neighborhood.

Here are some more photos from Ecuador. I'm not sure about posting photos with this new format, can we only attach thumbnails now?
