Desert wildflowers
This is the height of the short wildflower season here. Soon it will be 100 degrees and we will have 6 months with little if any measurable rain and they will all be gone. The hills are green, the grass is tall, and the air is fresh and clear.
The trails in my neighborhood are alread getting dry and dusty. This weekend Andy and I will ride in the Blue Mountains, which appear to be free of snow except for the higher summits. Roger is out of commission. He had a meniscal tear in his right knee and had surgery yesterday. He should be able to ride in a month.

Hi Doc, wish you could send some of that heat my way. Would gladly swap you some rain for it! Thats why Ireland is called the Emerald Isle, everything is well watered and green. Max temp here in Summer is normally 75 degrees F and we would only have that for 2 to 3 weeks :( Looks like April is a great month for you and it is my favorite month here as well.Enjoy the Blue Mountains!

That's a great photo, Doc. Please extend to Roger my best wishes for a rapid recovery.

He has his first followup appointment this morning. I checked on him yesterday and he was doing well.
