Pride goeth before a fall...
My fall.
Roger and I were out in the local hills today loving life. I was at the top of a steep rocky loose hill watching him come up. He got stuck, stalled, and fell. So naturally I took a picture and offered to help. He declined assistance  and made it to the top after another couple trys. Next up was The Hill Of Doom. I have spoken of the HOD here before. On a good day it is just barely do-able and today was not a good day. We have had no rain in quite a few months and the trail was just dust with baseball sized to bowling sized angular rocks. I lost traction, the bike swerved perpindicular to the hill. I stalled, stoopped and tipped over on the low side. I rolled rear end over front end several time on my way to a stop. My brand new (looking) bike now looks slightly used, and I'm a bit sore. I made it to the top on the next try, but just barely. We won't be doing the HOD again until the winter.

Ouch! Doesn't sound like a fun fall, good to hear you and the YZ are ok though.

Small scratches on YZ and myself no biggie. No significant soreness today. . I'm an ATGATT guy  . I may add to my gear collection knee protectors though....
Yes better than a day at work, although I love work too, it (usually) lacks the adreneline rush of riding.

I'm sorry to hear of your fall, Doc. However, I'm glad to hear you are feeling much better today.
P.S. I wouldn't want to roll down the HOD. :? However, I especially wouldn't want to roll down this Idaho mountain! 8O Spud

As with most photographs, that slope is actually steeper than it looks. That incline is at least 45 degrees steep, and descends thousands of vertical feet! 8O If you rolled over that slope, it would certainly kill you. :(

At least I know who's lap I would land on when it was over.

Are you saying Roger would take the plunge before you?

No.
I meant when I died on route down the hill I'd be with our Lord. Not a bad deal at all.
