UNI FILTER for GIO - TIGHT FIT, but should work

I brought the cage to my local arctic cat / atv parts dealer and he fitted me with a UNI from a LT250 QUAD Racer.

Here's a pic of it

UNI part #03-12-NU2451ST

If it works out OK on the X31, I will get another for the X35

That looks cool! 8) What is retaining the filter? Most factory airboxes have some form of retaining strap.

The same plastic cage that was holding the stock air filter.

It's inside the filter and there's a long wing nut bolt that holds it to the air box.

Bike still works like crap, so it will become a winter project. take it all apart and make sure the whole fuel system is OK and change the fuel lines for better ones etc, etc etc.....

Thanks for the clarification. On the topic of the bike running like crap, my guess is that the answer is within the carb. Do you have a 30mm Mikuni on there now? If so, please tell us which jets are in it when the time comes.

The carb that is in there is the stock carb that came with the X31. It has an idle adjustement, as opposed to the X35, where I can't see any. Or if it's there, it's not in the same spot.

Every since I drowned the first engine and got a new one in it, it ran shittier than the first engine.

Now that some mice or squirrel ate my stock filter and filled it with insulation, I think stuff got in the fuel system. It's the Girlfriends bike since I got the X35. It's been a busy summer and going to be an even busier FALL. so riding is not on our agenda, thus why I am not tearing it down now. But this winter should be slower and then we will be able to get ER' DUNN.
