I wish I had storage like that under my Hawk seat.

Thanks for the pics! I really like the muffler; I wonder if it has a cat in it, like the Lifan I worked on a few years ago.

Awesome! Thanks!
They're really making some fine scooters these days. Nice they come with trunks too. Very functional.

My thought too, if they could just marry with the motorcycle designers.

Sorry guys ran late today at work so no finished pictures. At the very end the stover nut missing from the front axle to hold the front tire on. Found a temporary replacement at Tractor Supply (m12/1.25). Going to check Fastenal tomorrow for the real replacement.
The great news, checked the oil and gear oil, put gas in it, and it started with no problems. The idle was a little low so going to adjust that tomorrow along with change out the shipping oil. Otherwise, the scooter ran fine. Drove it five miles back and forth to build the battery some. Not too sure about the tires as they seem real slick though. Riding it down a gentle slope grass hill the back end almost kicked out from under my nephew. Anything under 15mph on the paved road seems unstable but once you get to 20-25mph, the ride gets much more comfortable. I think my daughter is going to love this thing for Christmas once she gets used to it. I have already submitted the email for the registration papers. I'll post again when they arrive to give an idea of how long it takes for that to also arrive. I'll also try to get and post those finished pictures tomorrow too. |

Very Nice Scoot! I like all the storage. How fast will a 150cc scooter go anyway. And thanks for all the pics. They were great for coffee time this a.m.

Nice bike! If you don't hit at least 50 mph in a few hundred miles when the engine is broken in, there is something wrong.

I have to say, I have been spoiled with my TGB 150cc scooter (2004 model year), and I am at (or under ) the 180 lbs range, so it hits about 62 mph, but it used to hit 65+ before I had a dealership do my valves ??), and it cruises at 60 now. I figured the Chinese clones with the GY6 (my TGB is, or is based on, the GY6) should hit at least 50--my guess even with two up or 280 lbs. But wait till it is broken in...

Little update, finally got an email back from Patty. They mailed the registration documents out today. They also filed a warranty claim for the blue plastic piece with the manufacturer with Greg sending a tracking number on the part once shipped.
Once the registration documents and plastic part arrives that should be all for this tread. Only one or two more posts to go. I did notice on their reply email, the email address is wrong for registrations on the website. The web site shows Phmgr.apscusa@gmail.com but actually it is ph.mgr.apscusa@gmail.com . In case others have an email issue use the latter email. Computers can be picky if the . is missing between ph and mgr. |
