Congrats, Nehawk! Welcome to the forum. Please post some pictures and let us know what upgrades and mods you've done, as well as your buying experience with the vendor.. You'll find tons of help around here for anything you can think of. Happy riding!

Greetings from New Zealand! Yes it's true all the way from the really Deep South. I have today bought the only Zhongshan rx3 in The country. At the moment it is located in Auckland and so my first ride will be the 600km ride south to my home town Dannevirke
It should be a good first ride. The bike is a 2015model which was imported here direct from china. The photos don't show any differences to the American model so I'll have to wait until I see it in the flesh to check. I really like the forum all the great contributions are some of the reason I decided to take the plunge.

I'm really close to pulling the trigger on one of these, but I need to hear from someone that registering this bike in NE is actually possible and not too much of a pain. Every website that sells these that I see have a disclaimer saying it might not qualify in all states.

I had no issues whatsoever last June registering my RPS Hawk 250 in Nebraska (Saunders County). I didn't even have to get the bike inspected. I just had to give them the MSO and Invoice as well as provide them with proof of insurance and I was good to go.

There are actually some dealers located in Nebraska that sell the Hawk 250 (e.g. Ryker Powersports) if that gives you any peace of mind.

I put on a longer shift lever as well as changed the clutch lever because it was broken when I bought it. I changed the oil right away and the spark plug to an NKG. I also painted the side plastics red and put in an LED headlight. Next is to re gear it so I can get a little more speed for highway use.
