Grin Parting out the famous Zong!

Have a 2006 Zong that I had big plans for years ago, but it just ended up being one of those projects that got started and never finished. I have the plastics in black including polisport black front fender. Also have 2 stainless exhaust headers, a xt225 swingarm with shock and rear brake rod and axle with adjusters. Motor has only 1007 miles on the odo. Seat is like new, frame, forks, basically everything except the stock gas tank is here. As a fun trivia quiz, am I the only one who has a copy of a major publication with a picture of none other than the Zong on it? Just want to help out any riders that can really enjoy these parts, shipping is the challenge on the bigger stuff, fair pricing to all. I now live right by Chapparral in San Bernardino, and am riding my DRZ 400S. Also have Turbinecore 2, was basically following after Spud with the major mods. Safe riding folks!

I wish you success selling your parts, Pawnrider. What major publication has a photograph of the Zongshen Sierra (200GY-2) on the cover?

I might be interested in the engine if you'd consider shipping it to Phoenix? alternatively meeting half way in say Blythe?

Smile the answer is....

Much thanks, Spudrider! And congratulations on the recent milestone, there are many who wish they could get in that much good riding! The Zong is on the front page of USA Today from Wednesday July 13, 2011. I can take a pic and post it, or for those of you who are able, it may be easy to find online? Happy to work with anyone on pricing and shipping?

Whats the diameter of the header pipe? Any mufflers or carbs?

Hello, yes I have the seat, the stock Zong exhaust was discarded when I moved, the xt225 headerpipe looks to be about 1-1/8 inch diameter roughly. No extra carbs. I have been contemplating keeping my Zong after all, and may end up not parting it out except for anything extra that I do have. Thanks, and safe riding!
