Up here in rochester (about 7 hrs from the nyc/nj metro area) they call em yerohz, so no issue there...LOL and agreed... call it a giero in chitown and the greeks will mob you.... my sister in law is greek is greek LOL

Side note, out here in rochester i had one waitress actually commend me for "actually knowing how to say gyro"
