Engine swap advice

So I recently picked up a 2013 Suzuki rmz450 with a blown engine in trade for some labor on a job, and was wondering if anyone here had tried to put a China engine into one of these?

I have been looking at the water cooled 250 engine kit pitster/gpx has for sale, but i won't be starting anything real soon as I'm only 3 weeks out of shoulder surgery and won't even be able to start physical therapy for a couple more weeks.

On the good side that gives me plenty of time to come up with a good plan.
Soo... advice? Experience? I'll take what you can give.
