New Hawk 250 Owner

Finally got my new Hawk on the streets. Bought from Killer Motorsports. Waited 2 weeks for MCO. very minor damage from shipping (to be expected). Assembled by myself, thought I did a good job for not knowing anything about a motorcycle, but very technically inclined. Registered in New York State with no issues.
Some concerns:
Speedo/Mileage not accurate. says i'm going 70 when in all reality i'm going 50. and probably logging 1.75 mile for every actual mile driven. I hope to resolve this by buying mjstef's new tach/speedo

Had to modify the license plate holder, as NY moto plates are smaller than vehicle plates.

Seems to top out around 50MPH. I use for on road use. which size sprockets should I get to achieve 60 comfortably? or possibly modify the carb?
