JFG Exhaust Pipe From Amazon

So, I fanagled this pipe onto my Hawk today. I had to reverse the bracket that attaches the silencer to the bike in order for it to reach the mid pipe. Removing the screws, I could here the nylock nuts they were driven into floating around. Had to cut a hole to get them out. I couldn't believe the nuts weren't tacked down or, better yet, why nutserts weren't used.

Anywho, it's one of them slip on style and every joint has an exhaust leak. Just wondering what you guys use or would use to cover that up? I am thinking something like BLACKHORSE-RACING 1.75" 1 3/4" Accuseal Clamp Butt Joint Narrow Band Exhaust Seal Clamp. Also, would you use the Permatex muffler and tail pipe sealer?

Tail pipe sealant does a good job on its own, but a band clamp would be some added insurance.
