A little update

I adjusted Q's valves. 3,600 miles and I've not checked them before. They were both safe but on the tight end of the tolerence. Don't forget to check you valves gentlemen. 8O

I cleaned his airfilter. It was remarkably clean given the dusty environment I ride in. I think I can do it every other year for here on.

I also checked the Yamaha's valves, they were spot on. 8)

I pulled the motor from the XR. Not too bad. It's ready for W&G to come pick up! :P

I did the fork seals on my friend's kid's XR100.

I have no idea of what it means to take a day off and rest.

On the bright side after I wash up I'm taking Megan to dinner.

I can't wait! :P :P

FastDoc,
What? You didn't do an annual on the airplane? Slacker!
Trying to make me feel guilty? I just picked up large rocks out of the driveway and took a long ride on the wannabe CT70.

Funny you mention the annual. I'm due at the end of the month and I do owner assisted annuals! I really HATE annuals. Its an excellent and expensive way to break good airplanes.

Do you fly?

FastDoc,
I flew a little back in the late 1960's in a friend's J3 that was rigged up as a crop duster out in West Texas but that was it for me. His family had one of those 10,000 acre ranches that could support a few cows. We would fly around hunting coyotes. Lucky to have survived that.

That sounds like advice I'd hear from a Doctor.

Thanks for the update on the XR engine; do you mind storing it for awhile? I'm neck-deep in Momma's kitchen reno at the present.

I hope you enjoyed your dinner with Megan.

No worries, I'll put it in the barn for you when you're ready for it.

The bike has one of those 'I hope I didn't bite off more than I can chew' project looks to it...

I have to resist making it pretty. I want to keep it simple. Make it sound and reliable and nothing else.

Right now it looks like roadkill....

one day after you get it up and running, your going to take a good long look at it.. again..lol.. then the itch to buy new plastics, maybe some new bars for it will start in.. it might look like a turd now, but once you getting running and replace the plastics and maybe some paint.. it will be a polished turd.
