engine decoding.. and more q's

Hello Spud, Weld, Human, and everyone else...
So, I've gone through all 288 pages of threads, (not every thread, but a good deal of them) and I may have missed this if it was brought up.

From the threads I've read, my 169FMM motor has a 69mm bore. That's what the 69 denotes.
But, What does the '1', and the 'FMM' stand for?
It's OHC, with no pushrods. Timing chain off the gear in the bottom end.

Also... I swear I read one or two threads that advise .6 to .8 mm for valve clearance. But.... read one where it seemed the advice was .1 mm. That seems tight to me, but would like to verify that yes, .6 to .8 sounds right.

Seems my hi-bird is pretty much a Komoto, or vice-versa. Was the 169MFF used in Lifans also? Just curious. Probably used in most makes.

Also, I replaced my pz30 carb with another pz30 with the choke on the carb, as I am missing the remote cable and bracket for the one I have. I probably should have gone with a Mikuni for the ease of jets, but maybe after I dial this one in and the engine breaks in, when I want to play with it for power, I'll go for it.

I'll tell you it is pretty interesting to look over the last 7 to 8 years of threads.. And, sorry to ask so many questions in one post. Let me know if you'd like them as separate posts in the future..

So cool..

Thanks Mudflap.. Nice chart! Already saved.
I appreciate it. I was just pretty curious, and just goes to show what a good group this is.
