zong gy 200 brake pads

Good day to all,
My long story in short, after falling down from left side, the left fork had start leaking, and some oil maybe a drop, had gone to the brake pads, and there is not much power on braking,
so I want to double check this item from eBay (item no 150904673168) fits our brake pads?
Of course there will be service on Both forks.

I have read the review of Spud about servicing the forks but I have never done this kind of service on any motorbike I have and there is not much time, maybe next time.

Thank you for answers in advance

let me show http://www.ebay.com/itm/150904673168...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT because first post from my mobile. As Spud mention on the servicing of front forks mentioned the vesrah SD-312, where those from the above link are VD-312. We speak about the same thing?

Yes, those brake pads will fit your Zongshen 200GY-2. The SD-312 pads are manufactured from sintered metal, and the VD-312 brake pads are manufactured from organic material.

However, if your current brake pads aren't worn out, you don't need to replace them. You can remove the current brake pads, and clean the oil from the pads with brake cleaner. You could probably also leave the pads in the caliper and spray brake cleaner on them, then hose them off with water.

Of course, you will also need to replace the fork oil seals, or the brake pads will continue to get contaminated with fork oil.

They are still ok, I sprayed some brake cleaner on them but did not make much of a difference, when i go for the repair i will ask to clean them, anyway I do not know which are better the vd or SD pads, and the SD could not find them on eBay, maybe I will order later just to have a spare. Is annoying not to find consumables on local shops, believe me
Thank you for the answer spudrider, from your tutorials I got much help because in this country this bike is no so commercial, but I like it very much even going to work I enjoy riding it.

You're welcome. Indeed, it is wise to have a pair of spare, brake pads.

The sintered metal, brake pads work better for riding in dirty, muddy, off road conditions. The organic brake pads work very well for street riding. You might enjoy reading the following web page.

Here are links to eBay vendors who sell brake pads similar to the ones I got from Zongshen America.

You can also purchase brake pads from Taobao.

Food for thought, thank you, I'm in street riding so vd will fit better.
In first link the SOK this I have now, I found them very average, getting neutral info from the road. But this is my opinion.
In second link I have seen it also
Thank you

You're welcome, George. When you have time, please post a ride report from beautiful, historic Greece, the foundation of Western Civilization.
