riding for a good cause!

Well the last week of july i will be piloting my trek mtb that i converted to a road bike from iowa city IA to grand rapids MI, taking part in the Sea to Sea, Cycling to end Poverty bike tour... We are trying to raise funds and awareness about the growing rate of poverty both at home in the US, but also around the world... More info on the tour can be found at www.seatosea.org, and if you felt so inclined, you could donate on my personal donation page at www.tinyurl.com/bogieboy01 any encouragement and support either monetarily or even kind words is greatly appreciated!!!!

Just figured i would throw a pic of the bike in too, somewhat ingenious conversion of an mtb if i do say so myself...LOL

You're going to ride from IC to GR on that saddle? Can I interest you in a tub of this stuff?

Smartassery aside, good luck on your endeavor.

Come afternoon tinkle time, you are going to hate those bibs. Just trust me on that one.

Yes, but on the other side of that coin, since i am a hefty-er guy at 240#, and have a bit of a gut, it will be wonderful to not have the shorts rolling down and bunching by the wedding veggies... i had the option of short or bibs, and after a short discussion with other riders it was determined that bibs would be more comfy in the long run...

Haha its not that bad with a decent seat, which to a lot of non riders surprize is neither thickly padded nor wide... A fairly narrow short padded one works best, some swear by non padded seats, like the brooks b17 and similar, but i cant bring myself to get a seat that cost what my wheelset cost me...LOL

Apparently the phrase "wedding vegetables" is the British equivalent to the American phrase "family jewels."
