What you need is a 428H chain with 130 links. Available at any motorcycle shop or order online. The H just means thicker plates but if you get a name brand chain like D.I.D. the standard 428 chain is plenty strong. Sealed chains are great and probably cheaper per mile but cost more to buy.

Yo guys -
here's the info on the chain i found http://www.ebay.com/itm/321849886755...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT and the info on the sprocket i found http://www.ebay.com/itm/321849887686...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Hoping this all works. I'll update the post when the parts come and are installed. Also for what it's worth; I changed the plug over the weekend and that made a noticeable difference. The carb and jets are shipping now. |

I haven't tried a JT chain yet, but I would. They do a good job with sprockets.

That'll work. I'm running that same JT chain right now on my quad and will switch to O ring when it wears out.

In short, the non o ring may be the best option. |

I use that same JT chain and I don't have to adjust my chain every other day, in fact I haven't adjusted it since I put it on. A few of us use that chain.

That is good to hear. For that price, even if the chain only has 1/3 the life of a o-ring, I'm still going to come out ahead.

If my experience is anything to go by, I've only had to replace a non o-ring chain when the sprockets wore out. Keep it clean and lubricated and it will last a long time. The chain that is supplied with the bike isn't a quality chain. DID, Unibear, and a whole bunch of other after market chains are of very high quality.

Went ahead and ordered the JT chain. My stock chain with only 20km on it is very loose laterally, I don't want to take a trip too far from home like that.
