BRP Bound
Me and a few buddies are headed for the Blue Ridge Parkway Saturday morning. Going to go and play on U.S. 412 "The Snake" for a while and then head up to Dan, Va. We're going to setup camp at Willville Bike camp, then head a little further up the BRP before dark. Then down the BRP to Asheville, then home. Should be a nice fun little trip. Pics and ride report to follow.

I'd love to try that trip some day. Good luck on The Snake.

Great ride. I've done it a few times. Enjoy!
WATCH FOR POLICE. Speed limit is 35-45. Lots of radar guns making revenue off tourists. A zillion RV's and kids running around. Be careful. Don't miss the Linn Cove Viaduct.

We eagerly await your photos. I have driven the BRP in an automobile, but I have never rode a bike there.

Can't wait to see the rest of the pics! I see you hail from eastern Tennessee, have you ever ridden the Tail of The Dragon at Deal's Gap? It's 318 curves in 11 miles, it's located in Robbinsville, NC which is at the south-western tip of North Carolina, very near to the eastern Tennessee border. I've driven a few fast cars on it, but never ridden a bike there...yet. Once I get my CB road worthy and registered I'm planning on going there with a few buddies, hopefully this fall before it get's too cold.

Great teaser shot. Such a beautiful part of the country.
I've ridden the BRP a few times. Once on a KLR, twice on my GS1100.

That's a beautiful photograph of the Piedmont Plateau. I really like the views of the Shennandoah Valley just south of Front Royal, Virginia.

If you do the BRP consider it's northern extention in Virginia, Skyline Drive, also.

The pics are coming,I promise. It seems as if my life went in to overdrive as soon as I got back from my trip. Between work and summer classes I just can't seem to get ahead. I'll do my best to find the time to download the pics and write a little ride report by the end of the week. But on the mean time I'll post the ones I have on my phone.
