Hawk air box
My air box seemed dirty beyond the filter. I found a gap on the outside of where the intake hose connects to the box. I did an endoscopy of the pipe and found dust inside. Some surgery was required to fix.

Oh that's not good for engine longevity.

I used some black silicone adhesive to seal the hose to box and I removed the frame lid and siliconed that lip as well. This is not the frame lid to get to the filter. Not a big show stopper on that. But, I live in the desert. I want to seal the best I can get. I love this air box! I had two other China bikes and they had poor design air boxes. This one is way better.

Frame takin off the box. I ran a silicone bead in the sealing channel and assembled.

The sealing surface is like an O-ring to begin with. I added a bead of silicone. I don't expect to ever take it apart again.
