Remove plastic cover on headlight Hawk?
I have been tinkering around on my recently bought 2016 Hawk, which is a faded blue, that I'm painting black, and after removing the plastic from the headlight assembly, I re installed it without the blue cover, and I think it looks better. Can I just run it without the big shield like cover? , Or is the cover necessary to help keep wiring dry in case of rain?

Up to you, if you do a few searches for the Scrambler versions people created from their Hawk 250/Brozz/TBR7's, you'll see the shield isn't necessary.
Just water proof your connections. HTH, |

It's mostly a cosmetic piece, and maybe acts as a small wind deflector in function.
