2008 Lifan 200cc GY5

I have had the bike since day 1. I let it sit for a while now. what is the best way to get it started? I just changed the original chinese battery after 7 years. it is a great bike, but I am afraid I may have let it stay idle for too long. I'm ready to get back on it and start riding again. Any tips for getting it started?

And if you know of any manuals or links to sites that show how to clean the carb on this particular bike, let me know. 2008 LF200 GY-5

Welcome!

The carb is quite easy to work with. Unscrew the top cap, pull the slider out and let it hang from the throttle cable, disconnect from the air box and intake tube and pull it free.

Flip the carb over, remove the bowl screws and lift off the bowl. Keep the carb upside down, and unscrew the large brass jet (the main jet) and the smaller brass jet that is likely in a recess (the slow jet). Carefully clean both jets to ensure they're not clogged, spray the interior of the carb with carb cleaner and reassembly.

If nothing else has changed, it should start right up.
