hawk 250 misfire

does anybody know what causes the stick hawk 250 engine to misfire when accelerating rapidly? replaced the spark plugs already

If you haven't re-jetted the carb yet it will be tuned too lean from the factory. Also valve adjustment is a must on these engines as well as they usually come set to tight from the factory. Read through the Hawk Resource guide at the top of the dual sport section. Lots of good info that will answer most of your questions.

ok. thanks for the tips. it's a real annoying problem. it was running just fine and it's started this problem like 2 weeks ago

Adjust the valves before attempting to do any carb tuning. You will be surprised how well it will run after.
