Let's talk Logistics-Pitney Bowes

Pitney Bowes has to be the worst Logistics company out there. Just read the review on BBB and other review sites.
I placed an order back on November 5th on Aliexpress. I got that order in 14 days. Very fast for Aliexpress. So on November 11th I placed a 2nd order for 6 items. It took 4 days to get from China and clear customs in the US. Here's where everything went south. Pitney Bowes held the packages for 7 days in LA, CA before they shipped it to there Dallas, Tx facility which arrived there on November 25th. All 6 packages have been sitting there ever since and have not been handed over to USPS as of today. USPS said that until they receive them there is nothing they can help me with. I filed a dispute on all 6 items with Aliexpress but technically I can not get a refund until 75 days pass. There is no way to contact Pitney Bowes unless you have an account with them. Even the seller on Alixpress have not been able to get an answer. If you read the reviews you will see I'm not the only person having this issue. It's almost like an organized theft ring that's been going on for years.

I had ordered two other items on November 25th that have already passed through the same facility in Dallas and on it's way to USPS.

I guess I'm lucky. Since I'm on the east coast, some company in NY usually get's things handed over within a week. Still takes me a month to get the item, though. Unless it's already in the states.

Well i woke up this morning and had multiple messages form the the different sellers. Apparently none take the time to read my messages because i keep getting similar responses back from them telling me "It takes many days to get to your country" lol. "Please check with USPS to locate Package." It only took 6 or 7 days for the packages to get to the US and clear customs. The problem is Pitney Bowes.
My response was. "Please read carefully. For the Third time. USPS does not have my package. Pitney Bowes has it and I have no way to contact them, nor does USPS. I spoke to Someone with USPS. Until Pitney Bowes delivers the package to USPS, USPS can not Track it or give me any information on where it is at. Pitney Bowes is someone your Logistics hired to deliver to the Post Office for delivery. Therefore it is your responsibility to find out what the issue is. The package has not moved in over 3 weeks. Again, I have another package that I ordered a week later that passed through the same port in Dallas and received it last week. The package has been lost in transit and no one knows where it is. Dallas is only 450 miles from me and past packages usually take 2-3 days, NOT 14-21 days. "

So my resolution was to file a dispute through PAYPAL this morning. It took less than 5 minutes to have my money refunded. If any of those packages do decide to show up i will pay them at that time.

No, no they shouldn't. Ours is a PB and I can't wait for the contract to run out. they might be cheaper but their support sucks and their sales team is damn near to the point of harassing about contract extensions and why you didn't buy ink from them.

Funny you mention it. Before my short 12 year state career, prior to retirement, I spent the vast majority of my life in the mailing machine industry....working for the people who competed against PB. It was always great at the conventions. The sales guys would be snarling at each other across the aisle, but we service guys would all be in the bar drinking together, telling war stories of the road.

Well Aliexpress doesn't mess around. I've been refunded the money through Paypal. Even if the packages do show up I do not have to send back or pay for them. Those orders have been froze and the seller can not come back to claim payment. Those sellers are under investigation. From what Aliexpress tells me, If they have too many complains on a seller that they are banned from selling.

I really can't complain about Aliexpress. I've always got my orders in a reasonable amount of time. These will be the first orders that ever got screwed up in 5 years. My four other orders look to be running right on schedule and should be here next week. They've already gotten pass Dallas and were ordered on the same day those other lost packages got to Dallas.

Well it looks like I may have two more packages going MIA in the Dallas/Pitney Bowes Triangle. I'm beginning to think Pitney Bowes is part of some kind of organized theft ring. I'll give it till next week and if no movement, I'll have to charge back those too. I though I would be able to install all my bling over the holidays but guess that ain't happening.

How does Pitney Bowes get involved in the first place, did the seller contract to them to do the mail or is this some inside the USPS sort of scam.

Pitney Bowes is contracted through AliExpress's Logistics. If you read through the reviews on Pitney Bowes on BBB, It certainly looks like some kind of organized theft ring. Thanks to PayPal, I've gotten my money back. AliExpress is also working on resolving the issues with logistics and Pitney Bowes because this is costing them money. All but one seller has been very cooperative to get resolved.

What's crazy is I have a package out for delivery today from Aliexpress that i ordered on November 25th, The same day that all these other packages landed in Dallas. It even past through the same facility.

Don't feel bad Jerry. My throttle tube arrived in LA on December 18. This morning, December 28, it arrived in Queens, NY, according to Amazon. WTF?

WOW! Taking the long way around.
Well all my packages are still sitting somewhere in Dallas since November 25th. I did get all my money back. I think I'll wait a little while before reordering just incase they do mysteriously show up, Which I doubt they will.

I do have another package that i ordered to December 12th that already passed through the same facility and will be delivered sometime this week.
