Weird issue with LED lighting......

Rewiring my Cyclewerks Heist project bike using all EBay/Amazon LED's

Picked up a cheap turn signal/headlight master switch as well as a new all in one speedometer that has both left and right turn signal indicators.

The front marker lights are 3 wire (Ground/Turn Signal/Running)

The rear marker lights are 4 wire (Ground/Turn Signal/Running/Brake)

Using an adjustable LED type flasher unit

Wired it up and the signals all work as they should, however, the running lights won't turn on when I connect the ground for the speedometer

The running lights work fine when the ground for the speedo isn't connected

I have yet to install any diodes, but on other bikes I've wired, the diodes only helped when the turn signals didn't work

Are they also required for just running lights?
