I have to check with gps but it felt about right.Makes me feel horrible I'm starting to diet tommarow!

Dunno. I don't use a tach. I shift when it feels right.

The tach I had lied to me, so I ditched it.

I learned how to drive an automobile using a manual transmission. Ever since then I have been shifting by the sound of the engine.

I drive a stick shift vehicle ,I havent driven a auto in 13 years.I don't like autos or open rear ends for that matter. I like to feel the road in the snow ,I know you guys in Canada know what I mean. What Im saying is whats redline and where does rev limiter come in? Also could we shim the valve springs to prevent valve float. Im just real disappointed that it only does 45mph, I will change to 44t sprocket and see where that puts me.

I wouldn't start shimming valve springs yet.

What does the plug look like? Have you modified the intake or exhaust? What jets are you running?

The airbox was junk so I ripped it out and just have a open air filter on the pz26 carb. I didn't even change jets just tuned it in and it runs really good I think. Im scared to change exhaust because I don't want to be illegal.I have a fmf factory 4.1 full exhaust for a 250 honda and I was going to try to make a pipe to hook it up. I have a intake coming so i want to hook up this keihin 27mm with accel pump.It won't fit now by like 1/2 inch I figured i would try to flip the intake it turns the carb a bunch ! When I checked the plug it was black on one side and and almost white ,so rich? I am going to order some jets but I don't know what ones to get. I have to change oil too . I got a chain breaker Im going to change that sprocket so maybe it will go faster.

Well I swapped the cdi from xr200r and the coil and it changed! It came alive it feel fast now ,it lugged a little bit and now. It just goes I can't wait to switch the rear sprocket and to the street tires. I think this will be able to keep up in traffic ,no problem. Im getting a awesome enduro to change into a supermoto ,Im buying a 1997 xr250r. you can't see it its tan in center .

It's tough to see in the pic, but if it's tan, you're in the ballpark.

I had a '96 XR250R, and I loved it.

Sorry couldn't get a better picture, its tan and the xr200r cdi really woe it up! I couldn't believe it ,it revs faster and longer. It would miss and run ok before but now its like a different bike .I can't wait to see how fast it is , I'm going to tke it to the orv park. See how fast it goes ,I think i can run on the street ,but I think I'm going to turn the xr250r in to supermoto and my lifan into a bike to take to orv park and get muddy.
