Back fender Gio X31

I have a Gio x31 250cc 21/18 and I think the back fender is too short.
On rainy days I'm still covered in mud.
I wonder if someone knows if a longer fender (from a popular brand) could replace the original (with a little work) ?

I'd go with a generic Polysport item. Should be no problem to make it work. Good quality and very inexpensive. I'd suggest Rocky Mountain ATV/MC. 8)
