Weird one... Indicator won't stop flashing
Bike has been in garage for about a month. Came to ride it today and as I started up the right indicator wouldn't stop flashing. Indicator switch looks OK and feels normal. If I indicate left then they both flash. Could the switch be broken or is it a more serious electrical problem?

I think Willy Dog is correct. I suggest you try another flasher relay which is LED compliant.

Electro logic.
Quote:
The turn indicator switch sends the signal to where it's supposed to go. If your Honley has a 4-way/emergency flasher switch, it will send that same signal to all four points. As long as there has been no damage to the wires (mouse chewing the insulation) the logical starting point for checking is the switch assembly. Open it up and have a look. Good luck. |

Thanks guys, so I think I've just made things ten times worse. I took apart the switch to have a look and while removing a couple of screws a small spring and piece of metal jumped out. I have no idea how to put it back together now. If anyone randomly has a photo of the inside that would be incredible.
It's all learning I guess but we actually have nice weather here in the UK at the moment so I want to get out there! |
