My insurance agent asked me if I meant $ 11,097 on the price ,no $1197 I said

Thanks for posting the great photos. Your Hawk is a beautiful shade of blue.

Perhaps I am wrong, but it appears you need to lower the forks in the triple tree if you wish to increase the clearance between the tire and the front fender.

Funny you should mention that, I just saw someone else mention the same thing about theirs! It would explain why my front tire rubs when im going over rough stuff.

The left fork was actually loose from the factory and pushed its way up at one point, I tried to get them even. Lol

What is the appropriate height to set them at?

Haha true! Ive managed to hit 64mph with mine on the highway, (even though it indicated i was doing 80+)

Thats great, I love peoples reactions when they ask how much it was.

Mq1991...Yeah 80 plus, these speedos suck
I managed to record 63 miles per hour on my GPS a couple of times at wot. I've been really impressed with this little Bashan 250.

Get another person to assist you. Position the bike so the front wheel is lifted from the ground. Loosen all the bolts on the triple tree for both forks. Lower the forks in the triple tree until the top caps of both forks are level with the top of the upper triple tree. Torque all bolts to approximately 12 foot-pounds.

Awesome, thanks! When tightening it up before, the manual stated 16ft lbs. (I know the manuals on these things arent always accurate), is 12ft lbs a safer bet than 16?

(Sorry for all the questions)

You are safer to follow your manual's specification of 16 foot-pounds. My torque specification was an approximation.
