from a co-worker

so a friend at work has a neighbor that bought this a couple of yrs ago for $200...rode it a few times and then could never get it running again ....my co-worker bought it for $25 and couldn't get it running.
he brings it to work and asks me if i want it ...if not it was going in the garbage, so of course i take it

nice little 50cc

his dog tried plastic and didn't like it too much

needs some frankin stitchin

looks pretty clean to me and when you yard on the pull start you can get the engine to burp so has good compression still.

so going to take it all apart, clean it all up and give it a new plug ect and a new chain and see what i can do with it

That'll be a fun project. I'm looking for one of those for a young lad I know who wants to get into riding.

very cool got it to start and run (but not idle) and it seems to die when you give it full throttle.
I am happy so far with the fact that it started.

I bought one of these new for my eldest son 3-4 years ago. New, for ~$200

It's quite beaten by now, but he still rides it, and even carries his youngest brother on it:

(Sensible parenting in action )

The biggest issues we had with it are plastics, tyres, and one CDI/coil (~$10 from the shop I bought the bike from).

Carburetor bowl seal leaks a bit, but I use it as "incentive" for the kid not to stop so that the bowl doesn't overflow. Did I mention what exemplary parent I am?

The sticker on mine says ratio of 25:1, which is 50ml of oil per liter. And that's more than twice than what my GasGas wants. But I'm happy to follow that prescription as too much lubricant hasn't hurt anyone... I mean anything

This field my son usually rides on is next to a small river and indeed there are plenty of mosquitos.
