How about a db-200

I think this is what I have, http://www.supermach.com/DB200-01.htm , I think.. It is the closest ricer I have seen matching mine.

Any Idea where I could get some plastics and a seat? Also any tips rebuilding? I have never worked on a four stroke, just two strokes. I will tear it down inspecting the cylinder, piston etc... and decide from there. Things that would be handy to know are the dimensions of stock cylinder and piston, are there any interchangeable parts between brands etc...

Also I do not condone buying chinese products, I just got this in on trade

 I am a two stroke rider, I have a cr500, a yz 250 a kx125 and a rm125. I am wanting to get my ol lady in to riding and think this would be a perfect start.

Thanks

What's wrong with buying Chinese bikes?

you can probably get plastics and seat from www.roketa.com, they should still carry that model, just make sure to match up the pics, as i think they have maybe 2 or 3 models that are pretty similar but slightly different

You can't make everything in America... If it was, the cost would reflect it...

Good luck with that, You can buy some food products and maybe a few things here or there...Everything else is made in other countries. But You were specific about Chinese..And it made me curious. Being as this is a chinese specific site.....

an update

I got "ol'roy" fired up yesterday... After messing around with it and reading these boards the bike has intrigued me, mainly cause four stroke orv are foreign to me. I pulled the plug and determining I had fire so I shot some pb blaster in to the head through the SP hole, I also shot some down the valve stems via the valve cover and let it set over night. Came out the next morning (which was beautiful by way 70 and a slight breeze here in eastern, KY) Put it in top gear and rocked it around a bit, forward with the plug out was pretty easy, backwards was not it felt as if the starter was the resistance and sounded that way as well. I checked my battery which "appeared" to be good 11.50 volts off the meter, after an hour on the charger. Well I put'em in neutral and hit my starter switch, nothing... checked the fuse-blown, presidentially rigged up a gator tooth jumper and hit the switch again all I got was a click :( So I tried grounding the poles together with my screwdriver, nothing barely even a spark... Go and grab an aluminum kick shaft off of a 94 rm125 which is currently awaiting a MUCH needed rebuild, gave ol roy a shot of ether and kicked him to high hell, he growled but never barked... I knew right then this bike would run, so I go grab mister 25-1 gas and splash a tad in the carb, kick it over and it roared to life for about 6 seconds before dying... VERY VERY loud I might add, which prompted me to change the muffler packing.

I know I can get the carb online for about twenty five bucks plus shipping, I need some pointers and directions on where to pick up plastics and a seat..

Can you see the model year? Sad isn't it.. what kind of jack ass let's something go so neglected, so bad so quick...

My current carb setup has me at a stand still... out of 2 china ricers I haven't a crown for either carb :(

Repacked the muffler using self tapping sheet metal screws a few drill bits, one big enough to take the head off the rivet and the rivet ONLY, and one as a start for the tap screws.

With my carb being throttled by a budweiser cap the engine was WOT, with the new packing it wasn't nearly as loud as it was before, not even close..

Yes thats what I used for muffler packing, and yes I'm cheap, and YES it works VERY WELL, just pack it tight...

Kick shaft off of a 94 rm125, fits better than stock imo..

If you're anything like me you like pictures, so I'll oblige I can always use tips and hints and usually share mine as well. Any ideas on plastic for this thing and a seat? kinda looks like crf plastics???...

being from canada makes it easy to shrug off your comment 8)

Americans make quality stuff, that is a fact. Some will argue it is the best made "stuff" in the world, I am not one of those people. Until Americans stand up and demand goods from their home nation, we will remain in the boat we are currently in which is sinking FAST. In America we don't live in mud huts and eat rocks, so when we go to work we want a fair wage, a "living wage", there is not a damn thing wrong with that the way I see it and if CEO's and COO's didn't pocket millions and billions of dollars I think American goods wouldn't be so high in price.

I am curious as to how you have drawn your conclusions about my country... I have never been to canada and obviously I don't live there, thus I have never made assumptions about canada, or comments.

The only thing I know about canada is that your political scum are kinda like our california political scum, turning rights in to privileges. From what I have seen on the news, I think I would choose a mud hut and eat rocks before I would live in a communist/socialist nation. As I type this my country is adopting further communist/socialist programs, I am NOT happy and neither are ANY of my friends. I could care less about the color of my 'elected' leader, What I do care about is MY money that is stolen from me by my government and used for nefarious purposes. Socialism is bullshit and many years ago there were men in this country who knew that, and took appropriate actions, I only hope there are men like that still out there.

So it looks like that bike has had a bit of a rough life so far.

You'll just have to look around for a seat for it or adapt one but I think there are some out on the net for it.

The side covers are out there or you could try modding some that are close to fitting from another bike.
If I dont sell my wifes bike I may make her some out of nylon sheet and buy a graphic kit she likes and cut the new panels to match.
(would look better than the ones I made for mine I think)

I'm not sure what conclusions you are assuming I drew about your country, and I don't care what you have assumed about my own. I don't want to get drawn into a debate about whose country is better, and I won't, but I will say this. Trade is good.

I was indeed baiting you, and you didn't bite. You are all right in my book  And for the record I think I may have been to Canada once while viewing Niagara falls... Beautiful scenery and land, it is a crying shame what they have done with the "rule of law" to sooo many places throughout the world and especially here at home, my home the US.

I was merely hinting to the fact that by design America should be the greatest nation on the planet, and by politicians and "rule of law" we are turning in to a third world nation.
