Questions For Florida Riders

Hello all, just joined in here after perusing for a few days. i am looking to buy bikes for my wife and myself very soon but having no experience at all with Chinese bikes i have worries. I am looking for bikes that can be registered for highway use in Florida but will also be comfortable on dirt roads. I lean toward the Ice Bear Champion for my wife, and maybe for myself as well but more power sounds good too. both bikes will be 95% dirt road use 5% county and small state road use, no interstate, busy city or major highway use.
I am a experienced rider and mature (finally) at 59 yrs old.

My questions are what bikes have EASILY been registered and tagged in Florida for you?
What bike have you put many miles on with little issue and found to be really reliable.
i am sure I will need to answer some questions as well so let me know.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome aboard! Those would be a good choice. Don't let anyone fool you. These china bikes are reliable. It's all about proper preparation and maintenance. I have a 5year old + ATV, UTV and two bikes and all given me great service so far. I definitely gotten my monies worth out of them. There were a couple of guy's a few years ago that took two of these across the country. I think they were father and son. I don't know, I'm 62 so maybe my memories bad. lol According to the EPA listing they are 49 state legal so you should be good in Florida.

Thanks Jerry, glad to be here. I only mentioned the Ice Bear Champion, did you have another suggestion? the first bike that got me looking was the Hawk but from reading here it seems hit and miss on getting a tag in Florida.

thanks again.

We have a few members from Florida that had no issues with the Hawk. There's also the Orion rxb 125xl That is street legal. https://www.orionpowersports.com/ori...embled-tested/

Florida DMV required MSO to match my sales order seller info. I had a little trouble, but it works out in the end. I dont think any chinese vehicle is easier, but different dealers are either willing to help you or will screw you. I had a little trouble with gokartsUSA but it all worked out in the end, and they always reaponded to me.

Thanks for the response. I got the forms that dmv requested filled out friday and had one of my daughters brother in laws who is a trooper came by friday afternoon and he signed the verification for the vin and odometer and I put that and everything Peace Sports sent in the drop box at the tax collectors office yesterday and am waiting to hear back from them. this is a small county and I am hoping the troopers last name helps me out some, he is well known and well thought of here, but who knows what could unfold.
