Gio ???
I recently bought a Gio dirt bike to as a project bike but have no idea what model it is, the guy I bought it from said it’s a 250cc and the manufacturer plate says it was made in 2010 but that’s all I can find on the bike. Can anyone tell me where I can look on the bike or anywhere on the web to check the VIN to figure out what model it’s? Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks |

Look for those stamped mark: 1xxFMx (air-cool) as http://www.mychinamoto.com/forums/showthread.php?642 at engine & displacement often found in jug (Example: http://gd4.alicdn.com/imgextra/i4/38...!389662530.jpg)
https://vpic.nhtsa.dot.gov/mid may recorded cousin's (ie. by SAME maker/ WMI 1-3 of VIN ) decode document or just post the VIN here (expects the 12-17 which unique to each vehicle) the Gio GURU is http://chinariders.net/member.php?u=25786

As far as I can remember ,any Gio two wheeler with a verticle cylinder would be a 250 ,other than that they were available with a 21” front tire or something smaller like a 19” front tire ,someone else like weld or flashlightboy might know the smaller size .They are pretty good bikes .

You're right, Bruce; the small front wheel option was a 19". The original version had a CG motor, Showa suspension and a Mikuni carb - they were decent bikes.

Gio 250
HELLO...YES YOU COULD GET THE 21 & 19 OR T HE 19 & 16 INCH TIRES.... NON INTER CHANGEABLE... the size of the motor.. is on the jug for the cylinder.... it should say 250 on it... it is a 65 mm bore... I just sold one to a guy with a x31 2011 bike... to replace his worn engine... it is casted into the jug ,,
