hawk replacement battery

straight to the point. Id like a new battery for the hawk. i see a lot of outdated/unavailable batteries from old threads or batteries that need extra foam or spacers. Are these our only options? Id like a Plug and play amg maybe. what are yall thoughts?

I purchased this for our BMS250, not too sure if it will fit the hawk. got it from batteries plus...YB7BB25

The posts are opposite of the original, but works great.

The factory Hawk battery is not a common size. That is why you see foam spacers being used with smaller powersports batteries. I have a ytz7s style battery in mine. Double the cranking amps of the original battery and it works just fine, but yes it required foam blocks to take up the space.

how long are you guys getting out of your batteries? I recall life expectancy on my old Panterra was about 9 months before they died. I figured it was a combination of heat and vibration that did it.

A Drop in replacement for the chinese battery is the Yuasa 12N9-3B

https://www.amazon.com/Bater%C3%ADa-...sr=1-2-catcorr

Yes it's an old school battery, is not gel and doesn't have any other magical property. Just an old school acid battery, i been using it for almost two years and it works just fine.
I even activated it with the acid.

Typical life span of a small poweraports battery should be 2 to 3 years, but that can depend on a variety of factors.
