Not About the Bike - About My Location (NH or FL registration)

I’m in Florida for the winter. I’m a NH resident.

I just ordered a Lifan x-pect and it’ll arrive in a week or two.

It has the MSO and all the necessary paperwork for registration, but does anyone know how to do this?

Ideally, I’m trying to register it in NH remotely. My other vehicles are registered in NH already but I’m not up there again possibly for a whole year.

Failing that, can a non-resident register it in Florida somehow?

They have a program for boats that allows you to get a Florida registration temporarily as a visitor and non resident. It’s called a sojourner’s permit. It’s good for a season. Anything like this for vehicles?

Found the answer.

You can mail the MSO up and they will send you plates.

Whew!!

I was worried.

I know that anyone can get anything registered here in AZ which is what some snowbirds do, more so the ones who live here literally half the year or 7 months (the maximum from what I understand). Have you inquired about Florida registration for an out-of-state person such as yourself in your situation (snowbird I am guessing?) for s$%ts and giggles? I am curious if they will let anyone plate a vehicle who aren't permanent residents.

Unfortunately, I didn’t find out these details. I kind of have my hands full with a lot of stuff right now. I bought the motorcycle in order to have it as a bit of an escape here and there. Once I found out the way to register it in my home state, I just did that.
