Tao tao t-force oil leak
Just picked up a new t-force for my son this week. Ran it slow for 30 minutes or so then changed the oil (18 oz). Let him ride it a few hours and then noticed an oil leak. It looks to be coming from the weep hole around the stator cover. It's not a bad leak but what's the deal with that? Anybody know why there would be oil in the stator cover? Thanks

Welcome.
There is supposed to be oil in the cover. Try loosening up the bolts (you my find them already loose) and re-tighten using the cross method. You may need a new gasket or try some permatex if the leak doesn't stop.

Ok thanks, I dropped it by the dealer I purchased it from since I noticed it the first day. Haven't heard back yet but hopefully it's nothing major.

I have had our Tforce in 2 times since January for oil leaks, now going back for the 3rd & final time. Replaced seals both times. I expected some issues with the type of ATV loose bolts etc. but NOT oil dripping on my garage floor after every ride.

Has anyone checked to make sure the crankcase vent hose isn't crimped?

Oil leak
Hello... yes the breather hose is crimped for shipping ... check your oil level... 18 oz seems like a little over... the bolts on the left side has one of them that goes into the main case and if loose could leak.... thread sealant or gasket elimattor or permatex number is good..

The dealer said the oil was coming from a heavy oiled chain inside the stator cover. Took it off and cleaned it up, put it back together and not another problem. Thanks for the input.
