Question Bashan Storm 250 - Sprocket Set Up

Hey guys. I bought a used Storm and as a result, I don’t have a manual and I’ve been struggling to do the things I want to do to this bike. I was hoping someone could help me out with a decent gearing setup for highway/long distance use. I don’t REALLY plan on taking it anywhere too far but I want the maxed out best set up for top speed. I live in Phoenix and as of right now I feel it’s dangerous to even ride in the slow lane here because of how slow this thing is (I love it, but it does need a few more mph). Any help would be much appreciated!

It’s currently stock as far as I can tell, I plan on rejetting up to 115 for the main jet and putting a slip on on it, possibly upgrading the air filter. Might go up to 120 depending on how that does. I’m very new to all this.

I rejet the OEM carb. Works fine.

Regarding the rear sprocket, JTR279 fit my storm, but I would verify those dimensions just in case they have changed the rear hub:

In addition to rejetting the carb, I removed the cat and drilled the muffler for more flow. This makes a difference in the torque and power. You will have to port the head for the next level if you still want more

Here is my thread on the exhaust:

Look at post #17 for jetting.
#34 to #38 on the pilot
#105 to #115 for the main jet

This is a good set up for me at ~800 feet above sea level
