Side Panel mount wrong?

Maybe I'm dumb but it seems my side panel mount is welded in the wrong spot or I'm missing a part?

I bent it a little and it's still about an inch off! If you look at the picture you can the mounting bracket on the left and how far it's off. If possible can you take a picture of yours?

I've had tabs like that which have been ridiculously far off. A MIG welder is your friend.

I ended up bending the crap out of the mounts and got the panel to mount. I just wonder if they are all like that or they just welded mine in the wrong spot
