Where to buy

Hey guys, I’m new here so sorry if this is the wrong place to post. I was interested in buying a hellcat and I’m wondering where you guys get your bikes. I was thinking of buyin from birdysscootersandatvs.com , are they reputable?

Most places don't have the hellcats in stock. I've talked to a few including birdy scooters and they are all waiting for the shipment to come in. Most of them have said mid June, I ordered through familygokarts.com they have been decent to deal with. My only complaint is they told me they had some in stock and I left a deposit to hold one and paid the remainder a week later but they said "oh we are waiting on the shipment still."

Think it was Joe I talked to at birdys scooters and he was nice, they also had good reviews.

Thanks for the reply. Since the hellcats aren’t in stock, what other grom clone would be recommended?

I'm in the same boat. Ordered a Hellcat Through Familygokarts.com about 2 weeks ago and was told Mid-May they would ship. I actually just emailed them about an hour ago to see if that's still the case.

I've heard nothing but good things about ordering through Venom Motorsports but the X20 cost 1400 bucks. Roughly 300 dollars more than the Hellcat. It doesn't sound like much but I can get a new motor and carb for the Hellcat for 300 bucks. I think I'm just going to wait it out.

I reached out to Kronikracing in California. They are selling 2016 BOOM LIL' DUC'S for 800 bucks in the crate as is. 250 dollars for shipping to my location in Colorado. Even at that price to buy something as is and have no warranty, I would rather wait until June for the Hellcat. I'm in no rush.

I've tried Craigslist and found nothing, even found a TaoTao Dealer in Denver, but he refuses to carry anything over 49cc since the majority of his customer base does not have a motorcycle license. Can't even get him to do a 1 off order for me, even offered to buy 2 Hellcat's.

Dam that sucks, I barely got mine a few months back, all they had was blue left.
Taotao must of did a small first or second run of the Hellcats. The first batch of Hellcats came with 14t front and a 19mm carb. Mine came with 16t and 25mm carb.

There are other options besides the Hellcat. But not necessarily from this dealer.

Boom has sold more electric monkey bikes than petro bikes in the US. I have seen some really enthusiastic threads on the electric Boom on another forum site.

I bought mine from familygocarts.com back at the end of February, had minor damage from shipping on one of the side panels, they seemed quick to take care of the matter, but months later I'm still waiting on it. No big deal, the damage is minor... I also bought a taotao 50cc scooter from them for the wife... I paid for the rush process on both bikes and had them within a 2 week window, shipped from Texas to New Hampshire and right to the door. Over all I'm happy with them, they also were quick with the MSO for title, once I got the bike and emailed them the info (VIN) it was in the mail 2 days later and I got it about a week from the time I requested it. Didn't know they were on short stock tho, glad I ordered when I did. Good luck man. The bikes are a lot of fun, and I noticed thru my own research that Taotao has gotten better at their quality control, and have made improvements to their bikes from the horror stories I read about from a few years back. I have over 1,000 miles on my Hellcat already and the only thing that broke was the clutch cable, I did swap out the carb and intake tube the stock carb is not serviceable, and the stock intake tube was only a 19mm even tho the stock carb was a 25mm. I got a 26mm carb and tube now, and a 17T front sprocket and cheap after market exhaust... Sounds good, and rides good. knock on wood...
