I hammered my Lifan!

I had a nice little story all typed out about my ride today, but something happened and I lost it all before I got it posted. I'm too lazy to type it all again, so I'll offer the short version, and my appologies.

I took a ride today, about 45 miles round trip, making it the longest ride on my new Lifan.

I went to a Johnny Pag dealer that isn't too far away and looked at those sweet machines.

I also took some pictures of my ride without the graphics and after the tank plastic had been hammered. Rustoleum Hammered Finish paint is what I used. I think it looks pretty good but it's not quite dark enough for my taste. I may try another coat or something different completely.

The only problem I had on my ride today was not recognizing the need to switch to the reserve fast enough, so I had to hit the shoulder to switch and refire. There was a station only a block away where I managed to squeeze $10 into the tiny tank. 8O

It was a beautiful day for a ride. Nice and sunny, temps in the upper 60's. Every rider I passed, waved.

I can't see the photo, but I am guessing it's their 300 Raptor. A little on the expensive side, asking price-wise, but Johnny Pag seem to be on the up and up for Chinese.

Yea, they have one black and one silver Raptor....plus one Spyder in the reddish orange color.

I was quoted a nice price for his 07's, but I agree the asking price is a bit much. I think it strikes a nice middle ground between the cheap and the overpriced, though....considering it offers a look/style that can't otherwise be had in this price range, and the quality appears to be there.

It sounds really good, too.

Ever think of painting the white side covers too? Though... they do stand out and make you more visible.

I think about painting those panels a lot!

Which is why they haven't been painted yet, I guess. I can't make up my mind. My hemet is a base white with graphics, so I'd kind of like to keep a little white on it somewhere.

I'm still kicking around ideas.

Edit: I quit kicking and settled on this...
