52 km ride on 2008 hsun.

well all i went on a 52 km ride yesterday with no problems on my 2008 hsun with a friend that has a 1982 250r honda enduro bike .i could out do him in 5th gear on the hills he had to down shift i just gased on it with no problems.well i will post next ride hopefully be taged by then .any on know where to get higher geared sprokets? bye all till next time.

It depends on what you have now. I run a 17t on the front and 40 on the rear. You can run between 40 and 45 on the rear if you have a 17 front and still have good drivability. With the 40 tooth you can cruise at 70 and keep the rpms between 5 & 6k. With a 45 you have to run wide open to hit 70. You don't need a new chain if you are going smaller on the rear, you just need to take out one link for every two teeth (smaller) you go in size. I.E. going from a 46 to a 40 would require 3 links out of the chain.

it is all oem so a 42 would do great with 17 front or leave it stock?

Yes, 17 front and 42 rear is great. Might want to do a little counting though, because some of these come with a 17 front and 52 rear. Some come with 15 on the front. It might be a good idea to pull the front cover and check. If you do have a 52 rear I would recommend a 46 for the rear. But if you have a 46 already the go with the 40 or 42. I will tell you this the 42's and 43's are hard to come by. PMP sprockets will custom make you one for about $55. Or you might get lucky at the honda shop. On the home page click on tech info link and it will tell you which hondas and which years will fit our bikes. (gy's and clones).
