Hello from the deep freeze! Vermont

Hi to all! I've been looking around at the latest Chinese enduros available and have pretty much got it down to a Lifan or Hi-bird....which are essentially the same if I read it right. I've been riding since I was 9, 41 years ago! Was in the M/C industry for 23 of those years and I'm a big vintage bike fan.I currently own a number of bikes but nothing of the small dual sport type. I feel like going with a 200cc enduro will be like going back to my roots again, plus small bikes are just so much darn fun!!

Hi BikerDave
Welcome to ChinaRiders! Well no they aren't, HiBird is a company of it's own, I'm not sure who is making their bikes but they are not Lifan's. Then you have two areas of Lifan.

American Lifan: The main importer for Lifan products and only sells to legitimate Dealers and are not drop-shipped. They must be assembled & prepped by a dealer due to the fact that American Lifan bikes really stand behind their warranty. Street, Scooter & Enduro/Dual-Sport: 6 Month 3000 Miles {Parts & Labor}, Dirt & ATV: 6 Months {Parts & Labor} and the Dealer does the Warranty work.

Grey Area Lifan: The companies that sell these Drop-ship to the customer in the crate {non-assembled} and only have a 0-90 day Parts Only Warranty. You need to send your parts back most of the time and hopefully they have parts to send you.
I hope that this helps.

Bruce

Welcome, Dave!

Great to see more experience in here! I agree that you should get a dual sport, it just rounds off the biker in a good way and also keeps you from growing old any faster than we already are.
I am a dealer for American Lifan and also carry the Hi-Bird bikes, so if I can help to answer any question, feel free to ask.

Ride safe!
Tom
