Quieter exhaust?

Hey guys! I'm seeing these ADV bikes out here barely making any noise and my Hawk sounds loud as hell! Is there anything I can do to quiet her exhaust down a bit?

Is the exhaust stock?

Those are known to be pretty quiet stock. I wonder if it has something wrong inside the muffler. You might see if someone with a csc, brozz, or tbr7 has a stock exhaust they'd want to part with.

Thank you, that's a great idea. Let me ask, am I limited to those? These bikes (very similar to my Hawk) are extremely muffled and it just seems unlikely that they have one of those exhausts.

I'm pretty sure the csctt250,tbr7,brozz 250s, and hawks are pretty much direct bolt ons to each other. With so many on this site replacing their stock systems with aftermarket units, you could prob post up you're looking for one and someone would make you a deal.

Or search csc's site or brozz250.com and see what a new one would cost you.

Good luck!

I just put a baffle in the baffle. Dropped the decibels by 40% and got 2-4 more rpm's.

Can you please explain what you did exactly? I'm very interested. Pics would help. Thanks!

http://http://I have a Brozz, and gutted the cat, as well as cut around the small outlet pipe , and removed it from my muffler. I ended up with about a 2.25" opening in my muffler , and it was loud, but along with the carb rejetting ,I got a noticeable increase in power, It sounded good, but was too loud. I welded a muffler adapter in the opening, with the 2" end inside the muffler, and the larger end forming the outlet of my muffler. I then made a baffle from a short length of tight fitting pipe. I just welded a "lolipop baffle" in the short piece of pipe to make it. I cut it off to extend just about a quarter inch past the main outlet, so I can easily remove it. It really reduced the noise, and is pleasant to ride on. I don't notice a decrease in power, but I think it actually pulls a little smoother , but that may just be because it is quieter. I will take a picture later.http://
