KP150carb

I got stupid and left my fuel valve on for a long period and didn't drain my carb. Jets stopped up. Bowl on carb is not screwed on but is riveted on. It's the PZ26 carb. I bought a new PZ26 carb and installed but now I need to go to a bigger main because it cuts out at high speed full throttle. I live 100 feet above sea level. What size main jet do I need. Also is it possible to drill out the rivets on the original carb?

Although it looks like rivets, they are actually screws. Use a hacksaw or Dremel to cut slots in the heads and remove with a flat screw driver. You can ether reuse the screws or buy new screws at the hardware store.

Check and see if the cap for the slide is pinned shut, also. If it's not, you may be able to get away with moving down one slot on the needle (if it's adjustable).

But, Honestly, I'd just go with a new carb, and be done with it. Nibbi carbs are 65-68 bucks.
