true ca. registration on and off road!!!!!!!!!

ok, this is it. i just talked to the dmv and they walked me thru the forms on thier website. drum roll please. for offroad reg. on the vin # if the eighth digit is either 3 or c or make is a zebra or kazuma it will be red sticker (but still can still be registered) if no 3 or c in 8th digit green sticker. for street reg. it must not have the 3 or c 8th digit. these are the links for off road and on road. im going to add a post for the kayak 250cc enduro that im going to look into by calling them. http://www.dmv.ca.gov/pubs/brochures/howto/htvr19.htm http://www.dmv.ca.gov/vr/ohvdualreg.htm

I just got back from the CA DMV, and you can't register anything in CA unless it has a CA Emissions Sticker, regardless of the VIN, EPA or DOT stickers.

I think you got stuck with a bike the seller knew was not CA legal and pawned it off.

It has little to do with the Terminator. CARB is one of those government agencies that gave itself more and more power over the years, and is probably one of the most powerful state agencies, independent (and above) all others, including Arnie. It doesn't help that other states have started to adopt CARB requirements, as this has given them even more of a big head!
