Thumbs Up Jay's new Hawk will be ordered tomorrow!!!

First I wanna say thank you to every member of our China brotherhood. I am still in shock and awe, this has been truly amazing, the number of people that have reached out to help Jay and myself to get him back on 2 wheels again is simply outstanding!

Think about it, he discovered the TBR was gone Wednesday morning, and just 8 days later he's got the funds for a brand new Hawk! Thanks to you amazing fellas and especially Big Dan!

I'm covering the other $700, Jay's gotta make a deposit in the morning and then I'll order a green one from TXpowersports.

I will leave the PayPal account open till Saturday because I haven't worked for 3 months since the accident and I've already burned through my savings so I probably won't have the $175 for tax tag and title or the alarm system for a good minute. But even if he can't ride it for a couple weeks he's still got one and we can wrench on it!

WOOT!

I have a box full of parts, various sprockets, my pumper carb, etc, sitting here taking up space. I am still in the middle of organizing, but I will gladly send them your way. Let me see what all I have and you can let me know what you want.

Dan every bit of help will be greatly appreciated for sure! We do have a 17 tooth front sprocket and some jets, which will be a good start for him, but not much else in the way of parts. Thank you again sir, you've been an immense help in an otherwise crushing situation.

I think I may have a 43 or 45 rear for a 428 chain. I also have a 33 and 35 rear and 12 and 13 front for a 520 setup as well.

Great ending to a bad story...

As a TBR7 owner, may I ask what pushed Jay over the edge to the darkside of the Hawk?

Was it the knobbys?

Just better offroad capability with the bigger wheels and knobbies. Around here it's mostly gravel roads and muddy paths. At first I had to convince him to take the Hawk on gravel and every time after he got a little braver because the Hawk is so sure footed. Next thing you know he's hill climbing with it and exploring creek beds.

The TBR on the other hand dumped him 3 times at the Reclaim because the rear tire likes to go sideways in mud, and he dumped it on a gravel curve headed to Rooney's house because the front tire slid out and put him in the ditch. The same curve I had just taken seconds before going twice as fast. The TBR's rear shock didn't inspire any confidence either, it was always bouncing like a pogo stick and just kept getting worse. HawkLife baby!

Snorkel mod He said "my name's not Jay, I'm Scuba Steve!"

I think it will be fun to start over again from scratch with a bike that he can trail ride and back road with confidence (as long as it doesn't run or sound as good as mine ).

Jay,
I hope you realize why Frank ordered you the Green Hawk? It's been a proven fact that the Black Hawk is much faster than the Green Hawk. Frank's one sneaky guy.
