tachometer starts around 3800rpm wont go lower but still goes up less than 400 miles on it any way to take it apart.... i took it off unplugged it took 4 screws out but the damn glue they use i cant get it apart

Does it go to zero when you turn off the ignition? Check the inline fuse and + connection. Also check the blue/white wire were you tap in has a good connection. Better to spice and solder it..

no stays at around 3800 off and unplugged checked all the wires anyways
