Hawk 250 case gasket

Hello new to the forum here. Done a few mods to my hawk thanks to the great info on this forum. To the real question now. So i noticed oil on the ground from my hawk. It is leaking from the case cover on the shifter side. Its the flywheel housing/cover. It is not leaking from the shifter. I have been looking but where can I get said gasket, I can't seem to find it. Or if I can use a honda part number for the gasket that would be great too. Can someone lend me a hand?

Thanks
~Steve

bolts may have just loosened from the heat cycles. tighten her down and see if the leak continues.

I agree with Tim. Check the bolts. If it still leaks you could check with RPS or TXpowersports. You can check on ebay but will be hard to figure out if it is the right gaskets. Someone will chime in with the correct info. BTW, Welcome aboard.

Cscmotorcycles has the left side engine gasket that fits the hawk. I just replaced mine. The right side does not fit though.

you guys are great! I did go ahead and tighten the bolts. They were pretty tight for the most part. Except one I was able tighten a bit more but it was pretty tight itself. Will see if that works otherwise thanks Lit Hawk for showing me CSC. If I need to purchase it I will from them. I will give an update if that one bolt was causing it.

If you need to go to a Honda dealership, the p/n should be 11395-KCN-010 (that's the part for a 230F gasket, it should be the same). While you're at it, you could add a thin coat of Hondabond or some sort of semi-drying gasket material to it.

No problem just glad to pass the knowledge. By the way it’s the tt250 from csc motorcycles that is the correct gasket.

Kind of a lot of extra gaskets, but for $3, at least you will have spares. Just match up the measurements to know for sure. (They should, but it never hurts to be safe) http://www.motopartsmax.com/index.ph...h/21_122/eID/8

Another thought is if it is a fairly new bike is the oil just coming from the excess chain lube and dribbling down , making it look like an oil leak? On my last 2 new bikes (Honda NC700x and CSC RX3) an amazing amount of thin oily grease came off the chain and made it look like an oil leak, rj

No its definitely coming from the left case gasket, it is pretty obvious. Plus I have gone through the break in process. I have close to 200 miles on the bike currently.

Also Megadan, yeah that kit is great. I am bookmarking that.

Thanks again guys!

Interesting. I figured a couple hundred would be enough for break in. I will be curious to see what changes once I get up there in mileage.

Yep, past 500 miles these engines become much better. Shifting smooths out and the bike will pull much stronger.

Wow thats awesome to know. I have been messing with the clutch because I didn't like its engagement. I think I finally found the perfect adjustment. Once it breaks in we'll see where it goes from there. Such a fun bike.
