Hawk parts on Taobao
I'm curious if anyone has had any success ordering Hawk parts on Taobao. I did a quick look last night on Taobao for parts but didn't find any...admittedly I'm not as Taobao savy as Spud!

Using the correct search term is the most important part of finding parts for your motorcycle on Taobao. If you can discover the official, Chinese name for your bike, you will have good success.

parts
I'm not looking for any part today ... but I'm thinking about down the road. . . In the last 15 years we've seen too many US Chinese bike providers come and go and I would just like to know if I buy a Hawk there will be parts available. For instance right now you can get on Taobao and get any numbers of parts for the RX3 and I'm guessing t he TT250 will be the same. I have my downpayment on a RX3 already submitted but I'm teetering between the TT and Hawk as more to what Im really wanting. . . I was looking for a reliable dual sport last year when I came across the RX3 .... but the TT and the Hawk have changed the game for me.

You may want to consider the purchase price of the bike, the Hawk new is only $1,400 is about $280 a year for a five year period. If the bike lasts five years and something serious happens to it, you can either modify it to other parts, obtain replacement parts possibly or just buy a brand new model at that time in the future for another really low price point. I wish they would build them using actual major manufacturers most common parts so we could order replacements at any counter or website by saying "I need a 1987 Kawasaki Ninja 250 wheel bearings and 1979 Honda break pads..." I take care of everything I own, but I consider the bikes a use it until it explodes (not counting basic replacement items - ie: breaks) and throw it away later due to the price point.
